In today’s day and age, I’m constantly seeing things that inspire and excite me; whether it’s my morning news article from The Skimm showing progress for a cause I’m passionate about, or seeing an advertisement design that catches my interest on my morning commute. Below are a few of the things that have recently caught my eye.
New business cards from Moo: I finally started to run low on the super simple design I got last year when I first moved to Chicago. Out with the old, in with the marble and minimal!
This gorgeous leather jacket from TopShop: It’s February and it’s steadily been reaching 65 degrees outside. Goodbye winter coat, hello leather jackets (and global warming).
Kibbitznest in Lincoln Park: Lots of freelance work and blogging = busy Taylor. I try and make a point to leave my house when I have a lot of work to do, and this is just the place to go! They don’t have wifi, but they have ice cream, charcuterie boards and wine/craft beer.
It hasn’t been easy cutting meat from my diet, and heading to lunch with my coworkers to a butcher this week was giving me major anxiety, until I ate Publican Meat’s Falafel sandwich. Life. Changing. Head over to Fulton Market to try it for yourself.
These Durand glasses from Warby Parker. While I’m usually the person who waits until my glasses are so out of style I look like I walked out of 2005, Warby Parker makes it so easy to stay up with current trends without breaking the bank. Not to mention, a huge selection of their glasses are available for home try-on with free shipping!
Guys, I’ve convinced myself that I need a Hamilton Beach Food Processor. I made a cauliflower crust pizza this past week (Gimme Delicious recipe here) using riced cauliflower, but I’ve been dying to get a processor to shred up fresh heads of cauli myself!
Golden Girls is on Hulu now, what do you think I’m watching?
Also, a few friends and I finally saw Fifty Shades Darker in theaters this weekend….
Maggie Rogers released her 5-song album “Now That The Light is Fading” this week and I’m in love. I heard “Alaska” for the first time what feels like ages ago and I have yet to get tired of it. Read more about this incredible new artist here.
Guys, Wilco live. I saw Wilco live. Need I say more?
