Muse Monday Vol. 11

About a week and a half ago while dog-sitting, I realized my face was breaking out after using a travel size of my face cleanser for a few days. After finally getting a decent skincare routine down, I was a little bummed. However, after seeing that both my face wash and face lotion don’t fall under the cruelty-free category, I used this as an opportunity to look elsewhere. So here’s my newly updated skincare products, comin’ to you cruelty free.

I’m a huge fan of Mario Badescu already, and use their Collagen Mask and Drying Lotion regularly. So I decided to test out their Glycolic Foaming Cleanser as well. I’ve been really happy with the results and can already see a difference in my mini-breakout.

As for moisturizer, I grabbed Aveda’s All Sensitive Moisturizer. One of the reasons I’ve enjoyed using CeraVe is because it’s very gentle on my skin. This moisturizer has done a great job at that as well.

And last but not least, I’ve been eyeing coffee scrubs for months now. I finally got a chance to try out Lush’s Cup O’ Coffee Face and Body Scrub and I’m in love. And in the spirit of spring, I got myself a Pink Bath Bomb too (because seriously how cute is that?).

Watchlist:

I just recently started watching the Leftovers on HBO and I’m already addicted. I’ve been pretty awful at keeping up with any shows the past few months, but I’m hoping this one sticks. Not to mention, Jennifer Aniston’s hubby Justin Theroux is pretty easy on the eyes. Any Leftovers lovers out there? What’re your thoughts?

Love all the cruelty free beauty recs! I have sensitive skin too and have trouble finding products that work. Does the coffee scrub not irritate your skin?

    • Surprisingly it doesn’t! With it being natural I think it makes a big difference.
