I’m so happy to be back after a long, well-needed holiday. I think it’s incredibly important to unplug as often as possible and the holidays are a perfect excuse to stash the laptop away, put your phone down and live in the present. While I’m actually a big grinch and have never been a big fan of the holidays, the last few weeks have been filled with so much love and gratitude and I couldn’t ask for a more beautiful life or people to spend it with.
I spent my Christmas with my parents up in my favorite state: The Mitten. It was a very white Christmas, and my stepmom decorates their home so beautifully it’s hard not to be a little in the Christmas spirit. Presley had a giant yard to run around and hung with her (little) Aunt Luna all weekend. We ended the time off in Toledo visiting with my very best friend Lauren and second family, the Szymanskis.
My New Year’s Eve couldn’t have been spent with better company, and although I definitely paid for my love of champagne after the fact- I’m so excited to see what 2018 has in store. I hope everyone feels full of love and optimism after their holidays!
I have to rave about my outfit for NYE. I ended up getting this velvet jumper from Reformation on sale last minute and I couldn’t be happier about it. It was so cozy and gave me a little 70’s vibe. But I decided to take it the extra mile and bumped up the obnoxious with these gold freckles and gold stars for my hair. I practically bathed in gold glitter and I loved every minute of it.
I’m always a sucker for a good skincare routine, and a huge goal of mine in 2018 is to give my skin the love it deserves. Definitely taking a few pages from The Beauty Look Book’s #shelfie here.
