Muse Monday Vol. 6

I spent my weekend in Cleveland for one of my very closest friend Ally’’s bridal shower. Her maid of honor Danielle did an absolutely incredible job putting the shower together. How cute is this decor?

Now I’m headed to Frisco, Colorado for a week off with my friends! In my first blog post I talked about an awesome event that my associates board put on earlier this year, where my friend Lauren bid (and won) a week long trip. Stay tuned for next week’s Muse Monday post for details.

Watchlist:

A few weekends ago Ally and her fiance recommended Schitt’s Creek on Netflix. They are two of the funniest people I know, so while I usually ignore TV recommendations, I took the plunge. It’s an absolutely hilarious series about a rich family gone broke. Give it a watch and tell me what you think!

To say that I’m bummed out that Big Little Lies is officially over is the understatement of the month. Although I’m smug to say that most of my theories from the beginning turned out to be correct, I don’t know what I’m going to do without Chloe showing me the best music every week. What did you guys think about the finale?

I’ve recently hopped on the coconut oil bandwagon and it blows my mind how many uses it actually has. Here’s 30 different ways to use it here.

Cupcakes and Cashmere posted this awesome link about different words for unique emotions. I’m confident that I’ve felt pretty mbuki-mvuki several times.

My roommate’s brother works for United and she regularly travels using buddy passes (I’ve also used one myself when I traveled to Switzerland). I was very upset to hear the backlash on United for turning down attire for two girls traveling with a buddy pass last week. Not only has my roommate needed to change her outfit prior to flying before, I’m a big believer that flying is a luxury and it should be treated as so. What’re your thoughts on the subject?

Need to Eat:

I’ve completely jumped on the poke bandwagon as of late. Aloha Poke has caught my heart, but I can’t always grab a poke bowl on the go. Mindbodygreen posted Top Chef Dakota Weiss’ go to recipe for a quick, simple poke bowl here.
