Muse Monday Vol. 3

With this weekend being St. Paddy’s celebrations in Chicago, I’m writing from my bed while sipping on some ginger ale and binge watching Friends. You win, St. Paddy’s, you always win.

Purchases:
When I was in Toledo a few weekends ago, I stopped into Lady Foot Locker locked eyes with these nikes. To say it was love at first sight would be an understatement. I told myself I was going to wait until it was nicer out and they could be put to more use, but who was I kidding. Nikes, meet my closet.

I finished my 3rd hair appointment last week and I am officially a blonde. I’m a little warmer than where I want to be at, but after a killer recommendation from my friend Taylor from In The Buff blog I found this Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo and conditioner. Being blonde is a hard job, but someone’s got to do it. Here’s some additional products for keeping your blonde icy.

Places:

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll notice that I’ve gone to a few aerial yoga classes lately. I usually attend AIR Chicago in Lincoln Park on Saturdays for their community classes. They only cost $10 and I’ve never had a bad experience. The instructors are so nice, talented, and totally understanding of how difficult aerial yoga is to get a hang of. Highly recommend if you’re looking to switch up your workout class (and want to get a few cute instagram posts out of it.)

Watchlist:

I watched Minimalism on Netflix a few weeks back and haven’t stop raving about it since. The film follows Josh and Ryan and how they came about living a life with less clutter. A lot less clutter. While some roll their eyes at the minimalist lifestyle (something that’s slowly becoming trendier) the underlying reasons behind the movement are pretty incredible. I finished the documentary feeling motivated and pensive about the world and my habits.

Reads:

While I haven’t started it yet, I recently purchased Pond by Louise Bennett and I’m dying to crack it open! Keep an eye out for my next read recommendation post to see how it turns out.

This is a read and a mobile app recommendation in one. The Everygirl blog just posted about a new app called Shapr that’s essentially the Tinder for creative professionals looking to network. I’ve already downloaded it and I’m loving it so far.

Lusting Over:

Here’s a few items that are in my browsing history (more than once.)
